Our Web development Process

When working with MediaCore on a Web development project we prefer a detailed approach. This ensures a more accurate estimates, minimizes potential pitfalls and ensures an efficiently ran project. After that we charge on an hourly basis and bill to the nearest quarter hour. We charge $75/hour for Web design (Project Management, HTML, CSS, User Experience, User-Interface Design) and $95/hour for custom programming (PHP, JavaScript, Flash & ActionScript).

  • Initial Consultation: High-Level Estimate Development – No Charge

    • You provide us with a general overview of your project requirements and include sketches, descriptions and screen captures when possible.
    • We review the requirements and meet with you for approximately 30 minutes to fill in any important details that may have been overlooked and to ensure we have a clear understanding of the project.
    • Based upon the results of the meeting and accompanying documents, we develop a high-level estimate summarizing the requirements and the estimated project cost.
    • Upon approval of the high-level estimate then a retainer for Phase 1 of the project is required to move forward.

  • Phase 1: Requirements Gathering & Detailed Estimate – Charges Apply

    1. We meet with you to gather precise project requirements.
    2. From the project requirements meeting, as needed, we develop the following:
      Site wireframe & database sketches are generated
      Detailed-Level estimate with a timeline describing specific features, functionality, and estimate cost for each phase and features.

  • Phase 2: Project Construction – Charges Apply

    1. We meet with you to gather precise project requirements.
    2. From the project requirements meeting, as needed, we develop the following:
      Site wireframe & database sketches are generated
      Detailed-Level estimate with a timeline describing specific features, functionality, and estimate cost for each phase and features.

  • Phase 3: Site Deployment & Quality Assurance – Charges Apply

    • The site is deployed to the hosting server and the site is ran through quality assurance such as testing database installation, site markup and link validation. Any issues are addressed.

  • Phase 4: SEO Tracking & On-Going Site Evaluation – Charges Apply

    • 30, 60, 90, 120 day SEO reporting and site analysis of the Web sites effectiveness.
